Arrpenhe-nthenhe: Indigenous Short Films
90 mins | Australia | 2000 – 2017
Arrpenhe-nthenhe, meaning ‘where’s the other one?’ in Arrernte, is a program of curated content across this year’s festival devoted entirely to Indigenous Language films from the heart of Australia.
This full cinema session includes short films in Arrernte, Pitjantjatjara, Warlmanpa, Ngaanyatjarra, Warlpiri, Alyawarr and Mudburra languages.
Highlight films include the NT premiere of Warlungka featuring the hit band Rayella, and the premiere of CAAMA’s songlines project Artnwer: Desert Dingo.
Something Somewhere wishes to advise that the Arrpenhe-nthenhe program may contain images and voices of people who have died.
