Nice people live in the Swedish town of Borlänge, if you believe the town’s motto. But the predominantly white townsfolk are struggling to accept the growing community of Somali refugees.
Something needs to be done, so local entrepreneur Patrik Andersson embarks on a quest to use sport as a bridge to bring the town closer together. The goal: to create the first ever Somali national bandy team and make it to the World Championship in Siberia (Bandy is a fiercely competitive form of ice hockey).
The film effortlessly celebrates the value of culture and sport to break barriers and empower community. It is also very, very funny.
